Richard III

Studio Work: Set Design (Groundplan, Section, Elevations, 3D AutoCAD Model based Renderings & Storyboards, Whitecard Model, Props & Technical Requirements List, Reference Photos) & Costume Design (Renderings)

Concept: Playing on the propaganda-based writing in the original text (the glorification of the Tudor reign and condemnation of the Plantagenet family - embodied in Richard). The play is set in a museum installation w/h a Tudor-biased approach; as the play proceeds, Richard is portrayed increasingly as hideous and corrupt - the ending image of the production: his famous deformed skeleton in a massive display case with the entire cast looking on. Studio Assignment for undergrad (UofA 2018).
